Yom Hazikaron, Yom Haatsmaouth: the agenda of the week

This week, Tel Aviv and the entire country will experience two amazing days. With Yom Hazikaron and Yom Haatsmaouth, the people of Israel will go from tears to joy within a day, from remembering the soldiers who died protecting our country to celebrating the independence of Israel. This way of going from one to the other in less than 24 hours is the best way to show that no matter what, we will always celebrate life.  Here is the agenda of the upcoming week, to make sure you dont miss anything about it.

YOM HAZIKARON | May 10th in the evening and May 11th during the day


Their will be a ceremony to honor the memory of all the soldiers who died to protect the State of Israel, it will take place in Kikar Rabin starting at 7.30PM. An alarm will then ring in the whole country to signifie the beginning of this memorial day. On the 11th, a second one will ring at 11AM, the whole country will stop together as one, to remember.

YOM HAATSMAOUTH | May 11th in the evening


Their won’t be a break between tears and joy, we will start celebrating the 68th birthday of the independence of Israel on Wednesday night. The celebrations will start around 8PM on Kikar Rabin with fireworks shot from the roof of the city hall. The night wont stop with that since the party we’ll go on on Rothschild Boulevard until the early morn, on the actual Boulevard were Ben Gurion declared the independence of Israel 68 years ago.

YOM HAATSMAOUTH | May 12th at 12PM


The celebration will go on the 12th, along the Tayelet at 12PM. The Israeli Air Force will offer us an incredible show, to make us even more proud of our Army. Planes and helicopters will give you their best moves.
