FLOATING CAPSULES TO REPLACE TAXIS? SOON A REALITY IN TEL AVIV

We all hate sitting in traffic on the way to and from work. Sometimes we wish we could skip the traffic and fly to our offices. Well soon, you’ll be able to! Just a short time ago, Tel Aviv announced that it would soon become home to the most futuristic form of transportation in the world. Although the Skytran hasn’t been the subject of news in recent months, we have conducted our own investigation and concluded that plans to install the future of transportation are almost on track.

With the touch of a button on your Smartphone, you can order a sky taxi to take you kilometers on kilometers at the speed of light. Well, at least that’s what Skytran promised when they introduced this innovation several months ago. And behind the futuristic name “Skytran” hide the giants of NASA who plan to introduce the world to the transportation of tomorrow one city at a time.

Despite the silence on the subject in recent months, it seems that the project is on the brink of emergence. It is in Tel Aviv, in the center of IAI (Israel Aerospace Industries), that NASA is finalizing the construction of the first capsule and hanging rails for product testing.

Faster than a car and cheaper to build than a subway, this system has already attracted customers from around the world including Nigeria, who is planning to install large agglomerations of these flying taxis by 2020. Toulouse and the San Francisco Bay are also hoping to ‘futurize’ transportation and bring this innovation to their skies of their cities.
