Noa's Ark is opening at Tel Aviv University

A building in the shape of an ark containing more than 5 million vegetable and animal species… does it ring a bell? No worries Tel Aviv University is not recreating the famous biblical event, Noa’s Ark or preparing for the next flood, they just created a new museum!

The Steinhardt Museum displays the largest collection of fauna and flora specimens in Israel. Due to this massive collection it actually makes sense that they decided to give it the shape of a washed up ark.

In this 8000 square meters modern building, visitors will have the chance to discover the Israeli biodiversity through 7 permanent exhibitions created by scientists and nature specialists.

This unusual place, the first of its kind in the Middle-East, will also be a base for researchers from all over the world to understand the mysteries of nature and to get a better apprehension of the world.

The Steinhardt Museumlocated at Tel Aviv University will be inaugurated during summer 2017.
