April 23rd & 24th 2017

Yom Hashoah was established in 1951 by the State of Israel to both remember the ones who died because of the nazi horror and to honor the heroes that fought against it at risk of their lives.

In order to pay tribute to them, an official ceremony will be held, like every year, at the Cameri Theater of Tel Aviv, on Sunday April 23rd starting at 8PM. For a more intimate remembrance, the association Zikaron Basalon, invites Israelis to gather in private houses and meet Shoah survivors. Find here the entire list of the gatherings open to the public.

WARNING | Sunday April 23rd starting at 8PM, restaurants and stores will be closed all around the country. The next day, Monday April 24th 2017, a alarm will ring at 10AM and the whole country will stand still for a minute silence.
